[AUTOMOBILES] Review On Techniques Of Search Engine Optimization

By Justin Harrison

As the use and knowledge of the Internet has spread, Search Engine Optimization (SEO) has become an ever more popular concept. It is increasingly true that a successful business needs a strong online presence to compete successfully. A great variety of techniques have been developed to improve a website's ranking in the search engine result pages. Some of these techniques are entirely ethical and above-board. (The term for these techniques is "White Hat SEO".) Some of them are not so ethical. (Black Hat SEO.)

The ethical strategies used in White Hat SEO are acclaimed by SEO?s and also by search engines during spidering a site. The intensity of real time traffic increase in a website and the method used for making it reach the top is achieved by White Hat SEO strategy.

White Hat SEO rarely attract penalties unlike Black Hat SEO, while the former also gives you an assured reward of high ranking as well as ranking stability to your website. The user is assured to see the same content which is indexed and ranked by White Hat SEO. Not only the search engine but also the viewer of the page should be taken into cognizance in designing the content of a webpage

Another link-based process of White Hat SEO is reciprocal exchanged links. This just means that you enter an agreement with another site to link to them if they link to you. It's very easy to use, and it's easy to find people who are interested in reciprocal linking.

This is a time-consuming process, so don't waste your time by randomly linking to any site that you can. It not only wastes time, it likely won't bring you any results.

Another important White Hat SEO technique is creating good content for your website. Interesting text will attract more visitors to your site. Not only will it bring more visitors, it will also lead to better ranking and indexing of your web page. Additionally there will be other people out there with sites of their own who will want to link to yours. While creating quality content may take a lot of time, it is well worth it.

Of course, the most important part of White Hat SEO is in the name of the thing itself: search engine optimization. By using the right keywords sprinkled around your site without hampering your content quality, you allow searching web browsers to find your site easily. Choose your keywords and your density for those keywords wisely and well, and you'll be able to profit.

[AUTOMOBILES] Crimson Tide Fends Off Fiesty Vols

By Ross Everett

Alabama didn't so much win their game against Tennessee on Saturday as much as they escaped. Despite playing one of their worst games of the year they managed to keep their undefeated season alive as nose tackle Terrance Cody blocked a potential game winning field goal on the last play of the game to preserve a 12-10 victory for the Crimson Tide. Alabama held a tenuous 12-3 lead late in the game before a Tennessee touchdown and recovered onside kick had them facing the specter of the defeat for the first time this season.

College football pointspread players who took Tennessee as +14 road underdogs were in good shape throughout the contest and eventually cashed their tickets. The Vols improved to 4-3 against the spread while the Crimson Tide dropped to 5-3 versus the number.

After the game, Cody recounted his blocked field goal attempt that saved the day:

"I didn't really get off the ground. I just reached my arm up. That's how I got it. I knocked the blocker back. He was on his back."

First year Tennessee coach Lane Kiffin wasn't about to call the near miss loss a 'moral victory':

"It's a difficult loss to deal with. You come into a hostile environment and play the No. 1 team in the country, as I said before by far the No. 1 team in the country and the best-coached team around. You come in here and outgain them by nearly 100 yards and miss three field goals. I don't believe in moral victories, we should have won that game."

He explained the difficulty that placekicker Daniel Lincoln has getting elevation on his kicks since a quadriceps injury:

"He can't kick the ball up high. If you kick the ball up high it's never going to get there, so we can't allow the penetration up front."

Alabama coach Nick Saban views the game as a learning experience:

"You talk about how fragile a season is. You're controlling a game, even though you may say it's winning ugly. We're still ahead 12-3 and totally controlling the game with 3 minutes, 29 seconds and the ball. That's how fragile a season can be. You make one mistake and you have to go overcome it. I hope that there's a lot of lessons our team can learn from this."

Alabama has a week off before a tough game at home against LSU on November 7. They'll play at Mississippi State the following week before a game against FCS Chattanooga on November 21. Tennessee hosts South Carolina next Saturday and Memphis the following week.

[AUTOMOBILES] Montreal Dominates Swooning New York Islanders

By Ross Everett

The Montreal Canadiens have gotten off to a slow start this season, and entered Thursday night's game against the New York Islanders having gone thirteen games without a win in regulation dating back to last season. Apparently, all they needed to cure their ails was a team that was struggling more than they are. The Islanders only have one win on the season, and the Habs jumped on them early scoring three goals in the first two periods en route to a 5-1 victory at the Bell Centre. Montreal improved to 4-5-0 with the victory while the Islanders dropped to 1-4-3.

NHL hockey betting devotees who weren't scared away by the -180 home favorite price tag on Montreal cashed their tickets with the Canadiens' big win. It was the sixth win for the Habs in their last eight meetings with the Islanders. The six goals scored just managed to go OVER the posted total of 5'. The Canadiens went OVER for only the fourth time in nine games, while the Islanders have gone OVER in five of their nine contests.

The sputtering Montreal offense finally woke up, helped by a 43-22 shots on goal advantage. When Montreal opened a 2-0 lead in the first period it marked the first time this season that they'd led by more than a goal, a fact that surprised left winger Mike Cammalleri:

"We're making it hard on ourselves. That's something -- I didn't realize that until right now but that makes sense. Every game's been so tight, and it's important to try and win in tight games and find ways to win those games but at the same time you can't do that 82 times a year and then however many games in the playoffs, so it was important to get out to a little bit of a lead and hang on to one tonight."

Montreal goaltender Jaroslav Halek played well in relief of starter Carey Price, but lost his shutout bid when he misplayed a puck just seconds into the final period. Cammalleri described a conversation he had with Halek after the game:

"After the game I went to give him a hug and he said, 'I don't like shutouts. And I said, 'Well, you better like shutouts!' But he played great when we needed him tonight, made some solid saves, and we'll let that one go."

Islanders' coach Scott Gordon admitted that his team made it easy for the Habs' to dominate:

"We were a pretty easy team to play against. Defensively we were on our heels because of all our turnovers and it wasn't just in one area, it was coming out of our zone, it was situations where we had full control of the puck and we're not making plays. It's probably the worst that I've ever seen it tonight and it's something that we've got to get better at."

Montreal plays their next two games at home, hosting the New York Rangers on Saturday night and welcoming the Islanders back to the Bell Centre for another game next Monday night. The Islanders have a Saturday night home game against the Washington Capitals before their return engagement with Montreal. They'll then return home to play their regional rivals the New York Rangers on Wednesday.

[AUTOMOBILES] How Malware Attacks Your Computer

By Jake M. Black

Programs and scripts designed to cause damage are known as malware. Trojan horses and viruses as forms of malware.

Malware is an acronym for "malicious software". Malware causes malfunctions, disturbances, changes, loss or corruption of data in computers and servers.

Most computer users are familiar with viruses. Vundo Viruses are designed as programs or scripts that replicate and propagate from one computer to the other, within a network of computers or servers. When viruses attack, they spread files in the process. This process is done without consent from the user. A user may be unaware that a virus is spreading. A virus is wrongly defined by some people as a program that tricks a person into installing a harmful program that deletes data in the hard drive. Mostly, a virus does no harm to the data. The main function of a virus is to multiply and spread within a server or computer. The damage to a computer is done in the process of containing or countering the virus. Downloads and e-mail attachments are the main source of viruses. Memory sticks and flash drives are also responsible for spreading viruses.

Users should also note the definition of a "worm". A worm is a type of virus that spreads in a network of computers by replicating copies of itself in each of the computers in the network.

How can you destroy a computer virus? There is a lot of software that can be used to detect and destroy viruses. Anti-virus software works by scanning and destroying all the malicious scripts in the computer. Software with similar behaviour to virus scripts will also be destroyed. You should protect your computer from viruses by installing virus protection software. You must also desist from downloading executable files. Executable files are delivered through e-mail attachments or internet downloads. Downloading executable files from unknown sources is risky. E-mail programs like Gmail and yahoo can scan files for viruses.

A Trojan horse penetrates and enters a computer by means of tricks. The malicious component is clothed and appears as a normal program. When it enters the computer, it immediately begins erasing, modifying and destroying the stored data in the hard drive. There was a Trojan horse called "the swen virus" which tricked users into believing that it was a Microsoft application.

A Trojan horse is a lethal form of malware. The consequences wrought by a Trojan horse infection include loss of data, corruption of data, alteration of data, movement of data and hacking. A Trojan horse can phish passwords, credit card numbers and other sensitive information. Viruses disrupt our computers, and they should be swiftly done away with.

[AUTOMOBILES] Dementia Managing

By Robert Sanders

Part of the problem in finding drugs which may be effective for dementia is that our ideas about what constitutes dementia have been undergoing radical change in recent years. It had been traditional to distinguish between Alzheimer's dementia, or senile dementia of the Alzheimer's type (SDAT) and multi-infarct dementia (MID), which is theoretically caused by small strokes which insidiously pick off brain tissue to the point where an individual's cognitive function is compromised.

It was originally thought that MID accounted for 60%+ of the dementias. Accordingly, early attempts to treat the dementias concentrated on the multi-infarct dementias. The initial hypothesis was that these multiple small strokes were being caused by a process of hardening of the arteries, sometimes called arteriosclerosis and sometimes atherosclerosis (although these terms refer to two quite different disorders) which impaired blood supply to the brain. The logical treatment, therefore, for this condition was to attempt to dilate blood vessels. This led to the use of a wide number of vasodilating drugs such as hydralazine.

It is quite rare now for such drugs to be used for this purpose. Arguably, if anything, such treatment may have made the condition somewhat worse in that a potential effect of vasodilators is the reduction of blood pressure and reducing blood pressure would mean that the brain would be less perfused with blood, as one of the functions of blood pressure in the first instance is to provide the propulsive force to send blood up against the force of gravity to perfuse the brain.

Stage 2

More recent attempts to treat the dementias have proceeded on the basis that Alzheimer's dementia is the commonest form of dementia. For many years, the term Alzheimer's dementia was reserved for dementias that came on before the age of 65 (for this reason it was also called persenile dementia), which were not obviously caused by strokes. It was conceded that there was another dementia that was like Alzheimer's dementia, which appeared to come on after the age of 65 but this was thought to be less common. Distinctions on the basis of age have now collapsed and both dementias of the Alzheimer type are now called senile dementia of the Alzheimer type. The amalgamation of these two groups led to an awareness that Alzheimer's-type dementia is the commonest form. The primary therapeutic focus in the field, therefore, has been on an attempt to reverse the deficits which are supposed to be present in SDAT.

In particular, it has been held that in Alzheimer's, there is a dysfunction of cholinergic pathways in the brain, for which there are both historical and clinical reason. Historically, when early work in psychopharmacology began, there were only four known neurotransmitters - noradrenaline, 5-HT, dopamine and acetylcholine (ACh). Noradrenaline quickly became the neurotransmitter involved in depression and mood disorders. Dopamine was known to be involved in Parkinson's disease, and, when it became clear that neuroleptics acted on it, schizophrenia, after which the psychoses in general came to be seen as disorders of dopamine neurotransmission. For the most part, 5-HT was associated with either depression or anxiety. This left ACh without a function. It seemed convenient to parcel it out to the dementias.

There was, in addition, some clinical evidence in favour of an association between the cholinergic system and dementia. Part of the reason for this claim can be seen in a number of the chapters of this blog, in which drugs with anticholinergic effects have been noted as potentially causing amnesia or confusion (see The Management of Side Effects & Side Effects of Antidepressants articles).

Stage 3

In the last 5 years, a number of other dementias have been described. A distinction has been drawn between cortical and subcortical dementias. The cortex of the brain is the area responsible for higher cognitive functions, such as speaking, reading, planning and executing actions, etc In the cortical dementias, memory is usually the function most noticeably affected but those who are affected also have problems with planning even simple functions such as dressing and they typically cannot read, draw or execute any complex tasks. Alzheimer's and MID are cortical dementias. There are also subcortical parts to the brain which are common to humans and other mammals. They involve a number of what are termed midbrain and brainstem structures.

[AUTOMOBILES] Learning Management System; An Education Revolution

By Grant Trager

The learning management system is evolving into a valuable resource. With the economy in turmoil, and H1N1 virus epidemic, continuity of education has become difficult among students of all ages. New Standardize reports results state that proficiency in mathematics within our schools are at a record low, and has California worried.

Due numerous cuts with in the schools, such as; an increase in termination of teaching jobs as well as a cut in programs from the curriculum, to ease budget issues, our student's education is suffering. The No Child Left Behind Law (NCLB) Act of 2001, assesses whether or not our public school systems are providing students with appropriate means of progression in their education that will enable them to achieve higher education. If standards are not met this could potentially mean disaster for California's school system.

Conversations are taking place with the sole purpose to find an alternative solution to how we can create a revised education system that will appease the budget crisis in California, and not sacrifice the quality of education. Learning management system (LMS) is being introduced as the answer to this problem by creating efficient, inexpensive software to the students that provide curriculum and a way to track their progress in their classes. Exposure to the web and technological advances could potentially increase enthusiasm to learn and enhance their knowledge in many different areas of study.

Not only does a learning management system provide an effective and cost efficient answer to the budget issues and learning content, but hinders continuous spreading of the H1N1 virus. Schools no longer need to worry about their students falling behind in their education or exceeding government regulated free days due to the precautions taken for their students' health and safety. Distant learning provides a substitute to in "class learning" and furthers education advancements.

Resources such as online training could also play a major role in complying to visual, auditory, and kinetic learners, to increase effectiveness of learning. Innovators such as various Specialty Colleges and Universities have already established online training programs that provide their students with a way to receive their degree and pursue a higher education without the added stress of schedule complications.

California has teamed up with various organizations gifting the state millions of dollars towards school funding, and so the questions remains, how can we best utilize those funds to ensure that our students receive the best education that will enable them to participate higher education? The Government is looking to the learning management system and have provided various organizations with grants to implement distant or online training courses to some schools. Hope in higher education to advance students and create an opportunity for a greater future is a goal worth striving for.

[AUTOMOBILES] Different Types Of Trademarks

By Andrea Brown

The term trademark stands for certain symbols or texts that differentiate the goods of one firm from the other. The prime function of trademarks is to prevent the customers from getting confused about the source of an item that they plan to purchase.

One of the key needs for a trademark is that it should be different, which means it must be unique and identifiable. The uniqueness of a trademark can be assessed by placing it in one of the trademark groups - suggestive, descriptive, fanciful, and generic.

A descriptive mark uses a particular characteristic or aspect of a product to differentiate it from other products of its type. Unlike those marks that are unique to a specific product, a descriptive mark is not distinctive and is not capable of being trademarked unless it has acquired a secondary meaning and the customers begin associating it exclusively with the commodity.

Suggestive marks are indicators towards a particular product feature or quality. However, the relation between the name and the product is not obviously perceptible and it might require some amount of guess work on the part of the consumers to comprehend it. For instance, the shoes named 'Hush Puppies' are indicative of cosy shoes, which ensure that your feet do not become sore. The underlying reason behind such a name is that 'barking dogs' is slang for sore feet in some states in the US.

Arbitrary marks on the other hand have no relationship whatsoever with the nature or quality of the item. For example, there is no real link between the logo of a half eaten apple and the brand name 'Apple' to the renowned computer manufacturer. Similarly, there is no link between the fanciful name Exxon and the products sold under the trademark as the name is a fruit of the creative mind of the marketing agents of the firm.

Finally, the category of generic marks plainly identifies the goods, like 'sports wear', and they cannot be given any trademark security due to their vagueness.

[AUTOMOBILES] Divorce Property Settlement - How to Split it Right

By Marcy Burlock

When the decision of filing for a divorce has been made, several things must be accomplished including dividing all assets. Any assets acquired during the marriage must be equally split between both parties or one part must buy out the other.

Property settlement means anything can be owned. Items such as trusts, businesses including those in partnership, land, houses, furniture, household goods, tools and equipment, bank accounts, vehicles and shares. The list of assets can also include anything owned by either spouse prior to the marriage. However, before the assets can be divided, all debts must be paid in full.

Irregardless of whether an asset division agreement has been reached between the two spouses, a lawyer should be acquired to draw up a legal document making the split formal. If this agreement is not in writing, a spouse can change their mind or hide assets hurting the other party in the long run. Having the assistance of a lawyer protects all parties involved.

Reaching an equal agreement with your spouse using the lawyers is the quickest and most cost effective. If the agreement must be taken to court, each party runs the risk of not receiving a 50% share. In addition, this can also be very time consuming as well as very expensive.

It is important to ask your lawyer to divide the assets and reach a fair settlement for both parties. Each lawyer will look at each partys contribution to the marriage such as wages and parental responsibilities. It is also important for the lawyer to look at the age of each spouse, health issues, children and any future educational obligations when seeking alimony and child support. They will need to make the agreement flexible in order to compensate for these factors.

The custody of the children is determined by many factors including the child's wishes, which parent has had more contact, the quality of the parent - child relationship and the physical and mental health of both parent and child. Whichever parent does not receive custody of the children will be required to pay child support.

The "full and frank disclosure" can be implemented by your lawyer if you believe your spouse is hiding valuable assets. This terms means that the spouse must disclose any hidden assets or the lawyer can subpoena all their documents, meaning a court order to supply all documentation of assets. An additional consideration for you to be cautious of is whether any assets come with a tax bill. If they do, it must be in writing who is responsible for paying those taxes.

A divorce can be an emotional and stressful time, however the settlement must remain business like at all times. Lawyers work for you and must listen to your thoughts and concerns ensuring your best legal interest is being considered. If you are in a position where there is no property and there are no children, you do have the option of seeking a DIY divorce which does not require a lawyer if it is available in your state. These can be quick, simple and very cost efficient.
